Youth
Transitioning from youth to adulthood is challenging for most every young person, and it is particularly true for young people with disabilities. It is during those crucial transition-age years that a young person's future can be determined, and part of a successful future includes finding and keeping work. A review of literature suggests that all youth need information about career options and exposure to the world of work; opportunities to develop social, civic and leadership skills; strong connections with caring adults; access to safe places where they can interact with their peers; and services and accommodations which support them to become independent adults.

The information provided here is designed to provide transition-age youth with resources and information that will assist them as they journey towards adulthood and independence. If upon review of this information you have questions, comments or suggestions, please contact any of our staff.
